A FJX-06-06-43 | 3/8" hose x 3/8" JIC 37° female swivel is a type of hydraulic fitting that consists of two parts: a hose fitting with a 3/8" inside diameter and a JIC 37° female swivel fitting with a 3/8" tube size and a nominal thread size of 9/16"-18. This hydraulic fitting features a Parker 43 series compatible fitting on the hose end, which has a unique shape that allows it to provide a reliable seal at high pressures. The JIC 37 degree female swivel fitting on the female end provides a reliable seal with a 37 degree flare on the male fitting. This fitting is commonly used in high-pressure hydraulic applications and can be made from various materials to suit specific application requirements.
These fittings are designed to work in Parker crimping machines and with Parker hose. These fittings will crimp the same as a Parker 43 series fitting in your Parker machine, or you can use our Crimp Specs if you have an adjustable hose crimper. Currently we have a limited thread selection, but are bringing in more threads and sizes within the next 6 months. Don't see a fitting you are looking for? Give us a call or email us and we will let you know if that one is already on our list.
Our Parker Compatible 43 series fittings feature 2 etched lines along the lower part of the shell, indicating they are for use with most 2-wire hydraulic hoses.
Important Note: The number stamped on the shell of these fittings relates to the hose size.

To identify the thread on hydraulic hose fittings, you can use a thread gauge to measure the pitch and diameter, and compare these measurements to a thread identification chart. Additionally, examining the fitting's design, such as whether it has straight or tapered threads, can help determine the thread type and standard (e.g., NPT, BSP, JIC). See full answer »

A #6 hydraulic fitting refers to a fitting with a 3/8-inch nominal size, as the "#6" corresponds to the six-sixteenths of an inch (3/8") in hydraulic system terminology. The actual dimensions of the fitting may vary depending on the specific type and standard (e.g., JIC, ORFS), but the nominal size remains consistent. See full answer »

To identify JIC fittings, first measure the outer diameter of the male thread or the inner diameter of the female thread using a caliper. Then, compare these measurements to a JIC thread size chart to determine the correct size, ensuring the fitting has a 37-degree flare angle, characteristic of JIC fittings. See full answer »

To identify hydraulic hose fittings, check for specific markings or labels on the fitting itself, such as thread size, type, and manufacturer codes. Additionally, you can use calipers to measure the thread diameter and pitch, and refer to fitting identification charts or guides to match these measurements with the correct fitting type.
