A FJX-08-08-43 | 1/2" hose x 1/2" JIC 37° female swivel is a type of hydraulic fitting that consists of two parts: a hose fitting with a 1/2" inside diameter and a JIC 37° female swivel fitting with a 1/2" tube size and a nominal thread size of 3/4"-16. This hydraulic fitting features a Parker 43 series compatible fitting on the hose end, which has a unique shape that allows it to provide a reliable seal at high pressures. The JIC 37 degree female swivel fitting on the female end provides a reliable seal with a 37 degree flare on the male fitting. This fitting is commonly used in high-pressure hydraulic applications and can be made from various materials to suit specific application requirements.

      Parker Compatible 43 Series

These fittings are designed to work in Parker crimping machines and with Parker hose. These fittings will crimp the same as a Parker 43 series fitting in your Parker machine, or you can use our Crimp Specs if you have an adjustable hose crimper. Currently we have a limited thread selection, but are bringing in more threads and sizes within the next 6 months. Don't see a fitting you are looking for? Give us a call or email us and we will let you know if that one is already on our list.

Our Parker Compatible 43 series fittings feature 2 etched lines along the lower part of the shell, indicating they are for use with most 2-wire hydraulic hoses.

Important Note: The number stamped on the shell of these fittings relates to the hose size.

To determine your JIC fitting size, measure the outside diameter (OD) of the male thread or the inside diameter (ID) of the female thread using calipers. Then, compare your measurement to a JIC fitting size chart to identify the corresponding size.

The numbers on hydraulic hoses typically indicate the hose's diameter, pressure rating, and compliance with specific industry standards. For example, a number like "1/2-12" might denote a 1/2-inch diameter hose with a 12,000 PSI pressure rating. These markings help ensure the hose is suitable for its intended application.

JIC stands for Joint Industry Council. In hose fittings, JIC refers to a type of fitting that uses a 37-degree flare seating surface to create a metal-to-metal seal, commonly used in hydraulic systems for its reliability and reusability.

Swivel fittings are designed to allow rotation while maintaining a seal, but they can leak if not properly installed or if they become worn or damaged over time. Regular maintenance and inspection can help prevent leaks by ensuring that seals and connections remain intact. Using high-quality fittings and ensuring correct installation can also reduce the likelihood of leaks.

Swivel fittings are connectors that allow for rotation between joined components, commonly used in plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems to prevent hose twisting and kinking. Different types include elbow swivels, which allow for angular adjustment; straight swivels, which provide axial rotation; and bulkhead swivels, which facilitate rotation through a fixed panel. These fittings come in various materials, such as brass, stainless steel, and plastic, to suit different applications and environments.

The primary difference between a 1/4-inch and a 3/8-inch air hose is the inner diameter, which affects air flow capacity. A 3/8-inch hose typically allows for a greater volume of air to pass through, making it suitable for tools requiring higher air consumption. In contrast, a 1/4-inch hose is lighter and more flexible, often sufficient for tasks requiring lower air flow.

Certainly! Hydraulic hose connectors come in various types to accommodate different systems and applications. Common types include JIC (Joint Industry Council) connectors, which have a 37-degree flare seating surface; NPT (National Pipe Tapered) connectors, known for their tapered threads; and ORFS (O-Ring Face Seal) connectors, which provide a leak-proof seal through an O-ring at the face of the fitting. Each type is designed to provide reliable connections under high-pressure conditions.
