A MP-06-06-43 | 3/8" hose x 3/8" NPTF male pipe is a type of hydraulic fitting that consists of two parts: a hose fitting with a 3/8" inside diameter and a male pipe fitting with a 3/8" size and NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread type. The NPTF thread has a tapered design that allows the fitting to create a seal as it is tightened into a matching female NPTF fitting, without the need for a sealing washer or O-ring. It is often used in conjunction with a matching female NPTF fitting and sealing tape or thread sealant to ensure a leak-free connection.
These fittings are designed to work in Parker crimping machines and with Parker hose. These fittings will crimp the same as a Parker 43 series fitting in your Parker machine, or you can use our Crimp Specs if you have an adjustable hose crimper. Currently we have a limited thread selection, but are bringing in more threads and sizes within the next 6 months. Don't see a fitting you are looking for? Give us a call or email us and we will let you know if that one is already on our list.
Our Parker Compatible 43 series fittings feature 2 etched lines along the lower part of the shell, indicating they are for use with most 2-wire hydraulic hoses.
Important Note: The number stamped on the shell of these fittings relates to the hose size.

The numbers on hydraulic fittings refer to the size and type of the fittings. They can indicate the fitting's thread size, pitch, and compatibility with other components. This information was sourced from "Hydraulic Hose Fittings Guide: How to Find the Right One" on the Hydraulics Direct website (https://www.hydraulicsdirect.com/Unde...), specifically under the sections "Understanding the Numbers" and "Choosing the Right Fitting". The fitting that can handle the highest pressure typically depends on the material, design, and application. Generally, fittings made from high-strength materials like stainless steel or certain high-grade alloys are designed to withstand very high pressures. Additionally, fittings with reinforced designs, such as those used in hydraulic systems or industrial applications, are engineered to endure extreme pressure conditions. See full answer »

R1 and R2 hoses refer to types of hydraulic hoses that are defined by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards. An R1 hose is a single-wire braid hose, designed for lower pressure applications, while an R2 hose is a double-wire braid hose, which is reinforced for higher pressure applications. The additional wire layer in R2 hoses provides increased durability and pressure handling capacity compared to R1 hoses. See full answer »

The male pipe fitting has an NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread. NPTF threads are designed to create a seal as they are tightened, eliminating the need for additional sealing components like washers or O-rings, which simplifies installation and reduces potential leak points. This is a common feature in mp fittings. See full answer »
