The powerful and inexpensive UA 4 service press with its wide range of compressible nominal widths (up to 1¼ inch, even two-piece 4SP fittings) offers maximum flexibility. The open, horizontally movable plunger makes it easier to press even short 90° fittings with a long bend. The 1-phase variant of the standard drive unit makes the UA 4 usable worldwide. Of course, this UNIFLEX press also works with the proven lubrication-free plain bearing technology.
Includes: Machine, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, 22mm, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 38mm, and 50mm Dies.
Features
- Accesibility: Open Plunger for easy crimping, even when using large 90° fittings and divided press jaw set for quick and easy changing.
- Powerful: Allows for crimping of up to 1½" one piece fittings and 1¼" two piece fittings.
- Slide Bearing Technology: innovative slide bearing technology means this machine is completely Greaseless. This prolongs the machines lifetime while keeping maitenance costs low. No grease means no risk of prematurely damaging the crimping head and cuts down the time spent cleaning the machine.
- Convenient: Hose holder holds the hose so it moves at the same time as the jaws.

Crimping a hose refers to the process of using a machine or tool to deform a section of the hose, typically at the end, in order to attach a fitting or connector securely. This is often done in hydraulic systems to ensure a tight, leak-proof connection. Reference: 1. "Hose Crimping" on Brennan Inc.'s website (https://www.brennaninc.com/blog/what-...). The information is found in the first few paragraphs of the blog post. 2. "Hydraulic Hose Crimping" on the Hydraulics & Pneumatics website (https://www.hydraulicspneumatics.com/...). The information can be found in the first and second paragraphs of the article. See full answer »

Hose crimping involves putting the hose into the crimping machine, fitting the necessary die according to the hose's diameter, and then operating the machine to secure the fitting to the hose. This process is typically done using a hydraulic crimping machine. This information was sourced from "Hydraulics Direct" (https://www.hydraulicsdirect.com/Hydr...) specifically under the section "How to Crimp the Ends on a Hydraulic Hose" and "Hose & Fittings, Etc" (https://www.hoseandfittingsetc.com/ou...) under the section "Hydraulic Hose Assembly". A hose crimper works by applying concentrated force through a set of dies to cause the metal fitting to crimp or deform around the hose, creating a tight seal. This process is typically controlled by a hydraulic system to ensure consistent and precise crimps. Sources: 1. https://www.hoseassemblytips.com/what... - This information is stated in the first and second paragraphs of the article. 2. https://www.hydralok.net/how-does-a-h... - The information about the hydraulic system controlling the process is found in the first paragraph under the subheading "What is a hydraulic hose crimper?" A crimper works by applying pressure to a connector and wire, forcing them to deform and hold together tightly. This is typically achieved by placing the connector and wire into the crimper's die and applying force, either manually or with a powered tool. Sources: 1. "Crimping Tools: How They Work and Applications", from Apex Tool Group (https://www.apexhandtools.com/brands/...). The information can be found in the first and second paragraphs. 2. "Crimping Process", from TE Connectivity (https://www.te.com/global-en/products...). The information is in the 'Crimping Process' section. See full answer »
