Configuration

British Standard British Standard Pipe fittings and connectors are available in
two versions, with parallel threads (BSPP) or tapered threads
Pipe (BSP) (BSPT)

The BSPT connection is similar to National Pipe Tapered Fuel
British Standard (NPTF), except the thread pitches are different in most sizes.
Pipe Taper (BSPT) The thread form and outside diameters are close, but not the
same. Sealing is accomplished by thread distortation.

DIN specifications are controlled by Germany, but other
Metric Fittings countries use them as a reference for their connector and port
designs. All metric fittings are measured in millimeters. Unless
otherwise specified, the size refers to the outside diameter.

Japanese Cone The JIS 30° is similar to the SAE 37° flare (JIC) connection.
However, the flare angle and dimensions are different. The
Seat (JIS 30) threads are similar to BSPP.
