R12 hose is a four-wire spiral hydraulic hose. Ideally suited for high-impulse applications. No skiving required with W-Series fittings. Recommended for petroleum and water-bases hydraulic fluids in very high pressure applications. This hose is suitable for hydraulic fluids on mineral oil and synthetic oil basis (HL, HLP, HLPD, HVLP), oil-water-emulsions (HFAE, HFAS, HFB), water-glycol liquids (HFC), vegetable and mineral oil based lubricants, cooling water, and compressed air. Also generally suitable for biologically degradable hydraulic liquids (HETG, HEPG, HEES) however limited by fluid additives.

Not suitable for hydraulic fluids on phosphate ester basis (HFD).

      Use this hose with:

Certainly! The "F" in NPTF stands for "Fuel." NPTF, or National Pipe Taper Fuel, refers to a type of threaded pipe connection designed to create a leak-free seal for fuel and other liquids under pressure.

NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads are designed to provide a mechanical seal by tightening the male and female threads together, while NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads are designed to create a dry seal without the need for sealants, thanks to their tighter tolerances and interference fit. Essentially, NPTF threads offer a more leak-proof connection compared to standard NPT threads.

NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads are designed for dry-seal applications, where the threads themselves form a seal without the need for additional sealant. They have a taper of 1 in 16 (3/4" per foot) and are characterized by a controlled truncation at the root and crest, which allows for a tighter fit and prevents leakage.

MPT (Male Pipe Thread) and NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) are both types of pipe threads used in plumbing and fluid systems. MPT is a standard tapered thread that requires a sealant to ensure a leak-free connection, while NPTF is a dry-seal thread designed to create a seal without the need for additional sealant, as the threads themselves form a tighter, leak-proof fit.

NPTF stands for National Pipe Taper Fuel, which is a type of tapered pipe thread used for creating pressure-tight seals in piping systems. Unlike NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads, NPTF threads are designed to create a dry seal without the need for additional sealing compounds or tape.

Yes, there is a difference between NPT (National Pipe Taper) and NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel). NPT threads are designed primarily for sealing with the use of a sealing compound, while NPTF threads have a more precise thread form and are designed to create a dry seal without the need for a sealant, making them suitable for fuel and high-pressure applications.

An NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) connector is a type of threaded pipe fitting designed to create a leak-proof mechanical seal without the use of a sealing compound. Unlike NPT (National Pipe Taper) connectors, which may require additional sealing materials, NPTF connectors achieve a dry seal through precise thread design and manufacturing tolerances.

The ID (inner diameter) of a 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Taper) fitting can vary slightly depending on the wall thickness and specific design, but it generally ranges around 0.364 inches. NPT fittings are tapered to create a tight seal, so the exact ID can be slightly different at various points along the threads.

NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads are a dryseal version of the NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads, designed to provide a more leak-free seal without the need for additional sealing compounds. The specifications for NPTF threads are governed by ANSI/ASME B1.20.3, which details the dimensional and tolerance requirements to ensure proper sealing and compatibility with other NPTF fittings.

Yes, NPT (National Pipe Taper) and NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads can fit together as they both have the same thread pitch and angle. However, NPTF threads are designed to provide a more leak-free seal without the need for sealants, whereas NPT threads typically require a sealant to prevent leaks.
